Nasce a Sasso di Serra S. Quirico nel 1924, muore a Roma nel gennaio del 2013. Nel 1936 inizia a lavorare come apprendista in diverse botteghe artigiane, frequentando corsi serali presso un liceo classico di Roma. Autodidatta, negli anni ’50 inizia l’attività artistica. A questo periodo appartengono le prime sculture speculari, nelle quali studia la relatività e la scienza in generale, particolarmente il concetto di spazio in relazione alla cosmologia. Nella sua ricerca artistica ottiene risultati plastici molto importanti sulla visualizzazione del concetto di spazio relativo alla quarta dimensione geometrica, alle geometrie curve (non euclidee), e nelle più avanzate conoscenze topologiche delle superfici estremali. Dal 1963 inizia a realizzare gioielli: tra le sue più prestigiose produzioni orafe la scultura in argento T.E.S.T. (Trascinamento di Eventi Spazio Temporali) realizzata nel 1985, divenuta «L’Oscar» del Marcel Grossman Meeting che ogni tre anni viene assegnato al miglior lavoro elaborato in Astrofisica. Nel 1987 fonda a Roma il «Movimento Artistico Internazionale Dimensionalista». Pubblica libri di poesie ed articoli su riviste inerenti l’iperspazio, tiene conferenze sul tema arte e scienza, arte e psicologia, arte e società. Partecipa alle più importanti rassegne nazionali ed internazionali, arrivando così nel 1991 alla personale al Museum of Modern Art di Kyoto. Nel 1993 viene inaugurato il Museo Pierelli di Ipersculture a Bomarzo (I).

Attilio Pierelli was born in Sasso di Serra S. Quirico (Italy) in 1924 and died in Rome on January 2013. In 1936 he began working as an apprentice in various craft workshops, attending evening courses at a high school specializing in classical studies in Rome. Self-taught, he began his artistic activity in the 50s. In this period, his first specular sculptures were produced, in which he studied relativity and science in general, particularly the concept of space in relation to cosmology. In his artistic research he obtained very important plastic results regarding the visualization of the concept of space relating to the geometric fourth dimension, to geometric curves (non-Euclidean), and in the most advanced topological understanding of extremal surfaces. In 1963 he began to produce jewelry: among his most prestigious works in gold is the sculpture entitled T.E.S.T. (Drag in Spatial Temporal Events). Created in 1985, it became the “Oscar” for the Marcel Grossman Meeting, awarded every three years to the best work developed in astrophysics. In 1987 he founded the “Movimento Artistico Internazione Dimensionalista” in Rome. He has published books of poetry and journal articles concerning hyperspace, and he holds conferences on the subjects of art and science, art and psychology, and art and society. He has participated in the most important national and international exhibitions, and had a solo exhibition at the Kyoto Museum of Modern Art in 1991. In 1993 the Museo Pierelli di Ipersculture in Bomarzo was inaugurated.

Geboren 1924 in Sasso di Serra S.Quirico (I), gestorben in Rom im Januar 2013. 1936 beginnt Attilio Pierelli seine Arbeit als Lehrling in verschiedenen Handwerkerateliers, besucht Abendkurse an einem humanistischen Gymnasium in Rom. Als Autodidakt beginnt er in den 50er Jahren seine Aktivität als Künstler. Dieser Zeit entstammen die ersten symmetrischen Skulpturen, anhand derer er die Relativität und die Wissenschaft im Allgemeinen untersucht, insbesondere den Begriff des Raumes in Relation zur Kosmologie. Seine künstlerische Recherche führt ihn zu äußerst wichtigen plastischen Ergebnissen in der Visualisierung des Raumbegriffes im Hinblick auf die vierte geometrische Dimension, die krummen (nicht eukliden) geometrischen Strukturen und zu fortgeschrittenen topologischen Erkenntnissen über extremale Flächen. 1963 beginnt Pierelli mit der Kreation von Schmuck: Unter die namhaftesten seiner Goldschmiedeproduktionen fällt die 1985 realisierte Silberskulptur T.E.S.T. (Trascinamento di Eventi Spazio Temporali), die zum »Oskar« des Marcel Grossman Meetings wurde, ein Preis der alle drei Jahre die beste Arbeit in Astrophysik prämiert. 1987 gründet Pierelli das “Movimento Artistico Internazionale Dimensionalista”. Er veröffentlicht Poesien und Zeitungsartikel, die in Zusammenhang mit Mehrdimensionalität stehen, hält Konferenzen zum Thema Kunst und Wissenschaft, Kunst und Psychologie, Kunst und Gesellschaft. Als Künstler nimmt er an den wichtigsten nationalen und internationalen Ausstellungen teil und stellt 1991 schließlich in einer Einzelschau im Museum of Modern Art von Kyoto aus. 1993 findet die Einweihung des Museo Pierelli di Ipersculture in Bomarzo (I) statt.
